Dosage Guidelines: Cannabis-Infused Edibles

Some of the most popular types of edible cannabis products are gummies, cookies, chocolate bars, and lozenges. Consuming edible products allows for a discrete and non-intimidating way to enjoy the benefits of cannabis. Many people use them for relief from stress, insomnia, and pain. But how should you dose your cannabis-infused edibles?

Most edibles are 10mg THC per serving and 100mg per package, but it’s common to find 5mg or 2.5mg dosage edibles too.

Proper dosage depends on tolerance, body chemistry, and desired experience. But here’s a quick guide to get you started:

  • 1 – 5 mg: Mild relief ideal for microdosing or first-timers.
  • 10 – 20 mg: A standard dose that results in stronger relief and euphoria. Good for symptoms that don’t get addressed by smaller doses. Great for social, recreational use.
  • 30 – 50 mg: Potent euphoria with impairment of perception and coordination. Ideal for high-tolerance consumers.
  • 50+ mg: Hard-hitting euphoria and impairment, possible unpleasant side effects such as an increased heart rate and nausea.
